ASTM A299 Grade A boiler steel, pressure vessel steel plate A299GrA/SA299GrA/SA299M
Under specification ASTM A299/A299M,there are two
pressure vessel steel plate A299 Grade A and A299 Grade B,and the equal steel grades SA299 Grade A and SA299 Grade B according to standard ASME SA299/SA299M.
This standard covers manganese silicon carbon steel plates A299GrA and A299GrB which are mainly used in welded boilers and other pressure vessels and tanks.For steel plates of SA299 Grade A and SA299 Grade B produced from coils and furnished without heat treatment or with stress relieving only, the additional requirements,including testing requirements and the reporting of additional test results shall be applied for A20/A20M.
