ASTM A572 Grade 42 material is belong to high strength low alloy steel, A572 Grade 42 steel plate is used in a variety of structural applications including bridges, buildings, construction equipment, freight cars, machinery, truck parts and transmission towers. There are four steel levels in the standard ASTM A572. And they are ASTM A572 GR42 (290), A572 GR50(345), A572 GR60(415), A572 GR65(450) .42, 50, 60 & 65—the grades representing the yield strength.
